Feeling Unsafe?

  • Do not hesitate to all 911. If you are worried about a loved one, and do call, ask for a CIT (Crisis Intervention Trained) officer. If your city has one available, they will disperse them to your house to help you identify your next steps.

  • Bring yourself or a loved one to a local emergency room.

My Child just fainted or isn’t eating…

  • If your child just fainted, bring them to your local emergency room and call your primary care physician to see when you can book your next appt.

  • If your child isn’t eating. Yelling does not help. Helping them remain calm and feeling safe is key. Ask them how you can support them doing what they need to do, despite how scared they may be. Need ideas? Perfect topic for a therapy session.

My Child won’t go to her appt…

Remain calm. Ask your child what is going on for them? Then call me. We will work it out. It’s absolutely normal for your child to feel resistant at times or tired of treatment even. AND, it’s still important that they come to the appointment.
